Survive the Sound – Fish Tracking Game
Survive the Sound is a free, interactive online game where students and the general public are invited to follow their favorite fish character as it migrates through Puget Sound in Washington State. The game uses real data collected as part of LLTK’s research efforts to tell the story of imperiled steelhead and the challenges they face. By watching the migration, you’ll learn more about steelhead and raise awareness to help their recovery.
Educators use free resources, activities, and videos available in the Survive the Sound Classroom Toolkit to learn about salmon, steelhead, and their environment. Students turn into scientists as they analyze real data by watching Survive the Sound and extend their learning through activities.
Pick from 48 fun fish characters – each representing a real fish migrating to the Pacific Ocean. Join or create a team and invite your friends, family, and colleagues to learn more about salmon and steelhead recovery in the Pacific Northwest. From May 2nd to 6th, you’ll watch as the fish race to survive the challenging migration through Puget Sound. The last day to sign up or create a team is May 1st – join today at SurvivetheSound.org!
