Contra Costa Fish Migration Day
The Contra Costa Resource Conservation District (CCRCD) is excited to announce the 2nd Annual Contra Costa Fish Migration Day celebration, taking place at the Pinole Fish Passage (Google Maps link) on Pinole Creek, Saturday, May 30th, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This family-friendly event will honor the anadromous trout of Pinole Creek and the projects that support them. Attendees can look forward to entertainment, informative booths, fish passage tours, and much more. This year, we are thrilled to highlight another fantastic project: the Tomato Stand Fish Passage in the Upper Watershed of Pinole Creek. This initiative has replaced an undersized culvert with a bridge, effectively removing the last barrier for steelhead trout in Pinole Creek!
