Film projection – “The Undamaged”
Screening of the film in the city park of the city of Banja Luka through which the river Vrbas flows.
The town is adorned with numerous natural beauties and the emerald blue river Vrbas. Which is a special attraction for this city, both for locals and tourists. One of the most beautiful places is the Tijesno canyon, where various competitions are held on the Vrbas. The city is characterized by willow beaches in the city and geothermal springs along the river.
Just a few kilometers upstream on the Vrbas are two power plants with dams that slow down the wild flow of this river. Vrbas is a river where the rafting championship has been held for several years, and this year as well. The Vrbas River is of great importance for the city and the local population.
The event will take place in the city, in the city park, through the screening of a film about the importance of the free flow of rivers and the importance of the free movement of wild animals through and around the water.
We want to raise the awareness of people and participants who respond to the event, that for the successful functioning of nature it is necessary for our rivers to be free and without any obstacles that stop their flow, but also other problems that the community faces through construction of hydropower plants and dams.
