University of Washington Aquatic Sciences Open House
UW Students Explore Aquatic Sciences (SEAS) is excited to invite you to the 2022 Aquatic Sciences Open House! The event will take place on May 21st from 10am – 4pm in the University of Washington (Seattle) Fishery Science Building.
The Open House offers a free and family-friendly day of hands-on learning to celebrate science and research that relates to the water. K-12 visitors and their families will take part in a wide range of interactive activities, from a close-up look at the UW Fish Collection, to a virtual reality bycatch game, to a tour of the R/V Rachel Carson! You will also be able to learn about some of the latest research and aquatic exploration from labs and student groups here at the university. For a taste of our last in-person Open House, you can check out the coverage from our 2019 event here.
This event is free of charge and no registration is required, although you can RSVP to the Facebook event to add it to your calendar. On-site spoken translation will be available in Spanish, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Somali, and American Sign Language (ASL). There will also be a quiet room off the beaten track, available for families who want a break from the noise and bustle of the event.
