Ríos que conectan vida: Educación para la conservación – Rivers that connect life: Education for conservation

Resumen

En el marco del World Fish Migration Day 2026, Wilma Angulo, educadora de la Unidad de Educación Ambiental y Difusión del Museo Nacional de Historia Natural de La Paz, Bolivia, realizó actividades con niños y niñas de la escuela Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra para enseñarles sobre los peces migratorios de Bolivia y la importancia de conservar los ríos.  Los estudiantes participaron en una jornada educativa y recreativa dedicada a conocer los peces migratorios y la importancia de mantener los ríos saludables a través del juego, el arte y la creatividad, fortaleciendo su conexión con la naturaleza aprendiendo que proteger los ríos es proteger la vida. La actividad concluyó con un emotivo mensaje colectivo: “¡Que vivan los peces migratorios!”.

Abstract

Within the framework of World Fish Migration Day 2026, Wilma Angulo, educator from the Environmental Education and Outreach Unit of the National Museum of Natural History in La Paz, Bolivia, carried out activities with boys and girls from the Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra school to teach them about Bolivia’s migratory fish and the importance of conserving rivers.  The students participated in an educational and recreational day dedicated to learning about migratory fish and the importance of keeping rivers healthy through play, art and creativity, strengthening their connection with nature by learning that protecting rivers is protecting life. The activity concluded with an emotional collective message: “Long live migratory fish!”
