Hello friends! Please join us on Saturday, May 21, 2022 and celebrate World Fish Migration Day with us! We are celebrating the migration of the American Eel.
Activities include:
Discussing the importance of this endangered species.
Pulling up deployed eel mops
Demonstrate specific scientific tools to monitor the physical, chemical, and biological aspects of the Hudson River
Filling out an eel mop data sheet.
Learning how to make a DIY eel mop
Students, parents, and teachers are welcome! Please register, space is limited. We want to make sure we have enough equipment to everyone.

TIME: 11 AM – 12 PM and 1-2:30PM
LOCATION: 200 MORRIS PESIN DRIVE (PUBLIC PARKING IS AVAILABLE)
ACTIVITY: COLLECTING DATA WITH EEL MOP, IF TIME PERMITS, WATER QUALITY CHECK.
A BEACH WALK ACTIVITY WILL BE CONDUCTED WITH LIBERTY STATE PARK NATURE CENTER.
THERE ARE PICNIC TABLES, BRING A BAGGED LUNCH.
