World Fish Migration Day in Latvia
The World Fish Migration Day celebration in Latvia, taking place at Restaurant “Indiejānis” in Upespils, Suntaži Parish, Ogre Municipality, will bring together experts and local communities for an inspiring afternoon dedicated to rivers, fish migration and biodiversity.
During the event, visitors will learn about the challenges fish face along their migration routes through engaging presentations, discussions and a short film about one of the dams on Mazā Jugla River. Experts will share insights into importance of restoring natural river connectivity to support healthy river ecosystems.
Guests will also have opportunity to take part in an interactive quiz about fish migration while enjoying the natural surroundings of the beautiful Mazā Jugla River. The event will create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere where participants can exchange ideas, learn more about rivers and spend quality time outdoors with family and friends.
