Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is one of several U.S. Department of Energy research laboratories specializing in research and development related to our energy systems, including understanding the impacts of energy development on (and remediation of) our natural resources.  PNNL has a long history of research to understand the impacts of hydropower operations on fish passage including development of technologies and methodologies to evaluate and mitigate passage around hydropower structures.
