The CTRFWCO works on migratory fish restoration, management, research and regulatory measures with other state, federal and non-government partners. Activities include river herring population assessments, juvenile shad and river herring assessments, fish migration and movement research. technical committee and commission roles for management (river basin and East Coast), regulatory roles with federal energy projects, and others.
