Cairns Airport is a major gateway for domestic and international visitors to the Wet Tropics region. The Wet Tropics abounds with natural beauty scattered across two adjacent World Heritage Listed Areas, with one of the biggest drawcards for visitors being our waterways. In partnership with Dawul Wuru Aboriginal Corporation’s Land and Sea Rangers, Cairns Airport manages approximately 350ha of coastal forests, most of which is mangrove wetlands.
