Macaneta is a picturesque locality situated 30 km north of Maputo, Mozambique, nestled between the Inkomati River and the Indian Ocean. This locality is also home to the Macaneta Beach Resort, an insular resort that stands out on the Macaneta peninsula. In addition, the Inkomati River near the resort will be the venue for the World Fish Migration Day, an event that aims to raise awareness about the importance of maintaining healthy fish migration routes. This event, organized by Rethink Environmental Education Cooperative, will bring together local communities, and educators to celebrate the importance of preserving our waterways for future generations. To reach the resort and the event location, it is necessary to cross the Inkomati River by ferry and follow a sandy road for about 8 km. The Macaneta Beach Resort is known for its safe beach, temperate water, and stunning landscapes.
