This is an annual child friendly event to celebrate the return of alewives to the Bagaduce River. Representatives from land trusts, academic institutions, and non-profit organizations that focus on fish will be here to present information about restoration efforts, fish passage improvements, and Maine based scientific alewife research. Please join us to watch the alewives enter Pierce’s Pond, learn about watersheds, and try a smoked alewife. Bring a t-shirt or other cloth item and create your own fish print using the Japanese art form called gyotaku !
