We are celebrating World Fish Migration Day in the heart of Finland! Pack your stuff and enjoy a nice picnic with our fish migration related activities on a beautiful spring day. Build your own aquascope, tie your own fly for fly fishing and get together to collect trash! We are also hosting a panel discussion about the present state of migratory fish in Central Finland.
The event is organized by Suomen vesistösäätiö (Finnish Freshwater Foundation), Pidä Saaristo Siistinä ry (Keep the Archipelago Tidy Association) and Keski-Suomen vesi ja ympäristö ry (Water Protection Association in Central Finland).

Finnish Freshwater Foundation is a non-profit organisation, working to improve the state of fresh waters - lakes, rivers and small waters - in Finland and to safeguard the cultural heritage of those waters. We operate closely with the environmental administration, NGO’s, private bodies and the public to share knowledge and best practices about water ecosystems and their management. We actively take part in international co-operation with major participants in our field. An important part of our mission is to inform media and decision makers about the importance of waters and their conservation.
