During the Fishmigration day visitors could go to an outdoor laboratory. You could learn about migratory fish species that occur in Colombia. The visitors were enhousiast to learn more about fishmigration and were suprised to discover that most fish in local stores were not native.
The Nature Conservancy Colombia
We decided that our event would be a workshop with journalist, in order to understand the negative impacts on fish migration path when rivers are altered. They played a “serious game” developed by TNC and its partners to simulate cumulative impacts on fresh water systems, like installing new hydropower station along the Basin. We had a great coverage in national media. Everything tag with the #WFMD2016.
